Time Management & Setting Priorities

Welcome to the inaugural round of the Circles of Seven program! We at the EDC and SBDC are very excited to get started. This is the beginning of a series of steps we are taking to grow Bloomington-Normal's entrepreneurial culture.

At this time, mentors should be contacting their protégés to determine their first meeting date and place. We know that everyone's schedules are different and you may run into problems coordinating the meeting - please contact Marty Vanags or Brooke Weishaupt at (309) 452-8437 as soon as possible if a group member's general availability does not coincide with the group to which he/she has been assigned, and we may be able to make other arrangements.

This month's topic is Time Management & Setting Priorities. For owners and managers of a small business, people really are the most important asset. Usually the service or product being offered is based largely, if not entirely, on the skills and talents of the person or persons behind the company. One of the hardest things to get used to for new entrepreneurs is their newfound control over their own time allocation. How you manage this limited and most important asset of your business will have a major impact on its success.

Here are some articles on the topic to help you prepare for your first C7 session:
