Richard Eikenberg One Voice Scholarship
In 2008, the EDC created the Richard Eikenberg One Voice Scholarship Award, in which we invite one student from an EDC-investor school (Illinois State University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Heartland Community College and Lincoln College-Normal) to participate in the Washington, D.C. trip.
2012 Recipient
This year's recipient is Jonathan Nelson. Nelson, a 2nd year student at Heartland Community College (HCC), is majoring in engineering. Nelson is Treasurer and Co-founder of the Student Veterans of America Chapter at HCC and Student Trustee to Heartland's Board of Trustees. He is a veteran of the Iraq war and is currently working on the creation of the Veterans Center at Heartland Community College.

Hile Group One Voice Scholarship
In 2011, the Hile Group Scholarship was created by Julie Hile, president of the Hile Group. The scholarship is available to all junior/senior McLean County high school students.
Scholarship Details:
The scholarship covers all expenses of the trip, from flight and hotel to all meals and events. All interested students must attend an informational meeting being held on Tuesday, January 17th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the community room (4th floor) of the Uptown Normal Heartland Bank building at 200 W. College Ave. At least one parent/guardian must attend.
