Patrick Hoban, CEcD, EDFP President/CEO Patrick joined the EDC in August 2019. He previously served as the economic development manager for the Village of Tinley Park, Illinois. Prior to his time there, he was Vice President of Business Development for the Economic Development Corporation of Decatur and Macon County and later served as the economic development office for the City of Decatur, Illinois. He has more than 12 years’ experience in various economic development positions.
Becky Kirkpatrick Executive Assistant Becky is the EDC's Executive Assistant. She joined the EDC in October 2015. Becky spent the last eleven years working for a large real estate company as an administrative assistant to the Commercial Department and the residential realtors. She assists in the coordination of EDC events, office services, and research, analysis, communication and clerical functions. Becky also administers Enterprise Zone requests and certifications. She handles all board and investor communications.
Nik Duffle Project Manager Nik is the Project Manager for the EDC. He began in February 2020 after serving a year in a half as the Community & Economic Development Coordinator for the Village of Forsyth. Prior to his role there, he was the Deputy Director for Governor Bruce Rauner’s Advance Team. Nik obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Millikin University in Decatur, IL.
Amber Wilfley BRE Manager Amber Wilfley is the Business Retention and Expansion Manager at the EDC. She has been with us since March. Prior to joining the EDC, she worked in the Human Resources arena for the last 4 years. Her main role will be interviewing local businesses via Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) visits, monitoring McLean County’s business activity, and tracking and presenting local, state, and federal economic development incentives to local employers.
